(1) First of all, can you present yourself and BTU Protocol?

My name is Vidal Chriqui. I have an engineering background and have started my career working in distributed systems. When I heard of bitcoin in 2011, I was mind blown by this masterpiece of computer infrastructure that mixed economic and technical considerations. Since then, I’ve been very active in this ecosystem, starting with education initiatives as the first french-speaking free online course “Blockchain Révolution” and working with startups.

In 2018, I’ve launched BTU Protocol with Hervé Hababou. BTU Protocol enables the peer-to-peer (blockchain) revolution and gives back purchasing power to businesses and individuals. It implements the BTU token (already in the Top 200 by CoinMarketCap) as an economic incentive for users to adopt new channels or behaviors. BTU software operates with 0% commission on transactions.

(2) Can you explain your operation with the Fondation de France?

Donating is very important at the moment. Saving lives is still possible but we have to act now. Everyone needs to find a way to help. If you’re staying at home, we’re designed a fun way to help: learn blockchain while making a donation to the Fondation de France.
Using this process anyone can setup his wallet, get a crypto address and receive free crypto after donating. All without any required technical knowledge.

The donations are directly made to the Fondation de France and are used very concretely: acquisition of respirators and supporting the research against covid-19.

The donation are to be initiated from the BTU Direct application, but the payment is done using a credit card. After each donation, you receive your first crypto and it is even tax refundable (66%).

(3) What is your view on the future of the fidelity for brands ?

Customers come for the brands products or services. Loyalty incentives are great in general. But loyalty programs are too often forced upon customers. If one doesn’t join the program then one doesn’t get the best price. In the future, customer experience will be key, not locked-in useless points.
